I am looking for
"My child has behavioural problems" "Does my child have ADHD?" "My child is sad" "I could use some parenting help." A lot of parents have questions like this. You are not the only one. When should you seek help? When you find that you can no longer manage on your own. Then you should contact the neighbourhood team. There are different contact details and possibilities for each neighbourhood team.
Don't speak Dutch?
If you don't speak Dutch and have an appointment at Mevis, we ask you to bring a family member, friend or acquaintance who can translate for you. If you are not able to do that, Mevis can arrange an interpreter for you.

- In the event of a crisis, please contact Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), 010 - 233 00 00. You can always call your family doctor if you need help. He/she can refer you to the crisis service if necessary.

Mevis is responsible for providing youth services and support to families in Maasssluis, Vlaardingen and Schiedam. This can be easily accessible help from the neighbourhood team, but also specialised assistance if needed.
Mevis is part of the neighbourhood team. The neighbourhood team offers help to people who live in a municipality. No matter how young or old they are. In Maassluis, Vlaardingen and Schiedam, Mevis is responsible within the neighbourhood teams for providing help and support to children up to the age of 18 and their parents/carers. This can be easily accessible help from the neighbourhood team, but also specialised assistance if needed.
Mevis works with a lot of organisations serving young people in Maassluis, Vlaardingen and Schiedam. We will work with you to find the best help. We do that in the neighbourhood team. If you need more than the help offered by the neighbourhood team, we will look for the assistance - and organisation - that best matches your situation.
