Many parents have similar concerns, such as: "My child has behavioral issues," "Could my child have ADHD?" or "My child seems sad." You might also feel, "I could use some help with parenting." You’re not alone in these thoughts. But when is it time to seek help? If you feel overwhelmed and can no longer manage on your own, it’s a good idea to reach out to your local neighborhood team. Each team has specific contact options and resources available, depending on where you live.
Don't speak Dutch?
If you don't speak Dutch and have an appointment at Mevis, we ask you to bring a family member, friend or acquaintance who can translate for you. If you are not able to do that, Mevis can arrange an interpreter for you.

- In the event of a crisis, please contact Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), 010 - 233 00 00. You can always call your family doctor if you need help. He/she can refer you to the crisis service if necessary.

Mevis is responsible for providing youth services and support to families in Maasssluis, Vlaardingen and Schiedam. This can be both easily accessible help from the neighbourhood teams, but also specialised assistance if needed.
Mevis is part of the neighbourhood team. The neighbourhood team offers help to people who live in a municipality. In Maassluis, Vlaardingen, and Schiedam, Mevis is specifically responsible for helping children up to 18 years old and their parents or caregivers within the neighborhood teams. This assistance can range from easily accessible neighborhood support to more specialized care when necessary.
Mevis works with a lot of organisations serving young people in Maassluis, Vlaardingen and Schiedam.
